Sikkim is renowned for its flora and has a large number of Buddhist monasteries, including Rumtek with their fine collections of paintings and relics. Cocooned for centuries by the great mountains, its forests have over 500 varities of orchids. Sitting pretty on the erstwhile trade route between India and Tibet, Kalimpong has a diverse and rich heritage coming from the various people that inhabited it. It offers the visitor a glimpse into the rich cultures of the Bhutanese, the Nepalese, the Tibetans and the Lepchas.

Day 01: Delhi

Arrive at Indira Gandhi International airport at Delhi and meet our representative. Transfer to hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02: Delhi

After breakfast, half day city tour of Old Delhi visiting Raj Ghat - The Mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi. Jama Masjid - the biggest Mosque in India and drive past Red Fort and tricycle tour of Chandani Chowk.
Afternoon, half day city tour of New Delhi. Drive past President House, Parliament House (House of Representatives) and India Gate - War Memorial (stop for photography), Qutab Minar - 72.55 meters, high Victory Tower, Humayun's Tomb - built of red sandstone and is a first substantial example of the Mughal architecture. If time permits visit Bahai Temple (lotus temple). Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Delhi – Agra (225 Kms – 3½ Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Agra by surface stopping enroute at a good restaurant for refreshment.
Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon, sightseeing tour visiting the world-famous Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 in memory of his beloved wife, Queen Mumtaz, to enshire her Mortal remains. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Agra

After breakfast, visit Agra Fort built by Akbar reflecting the skills of the ancient Indian Architects. Visit Tomb of Itmad-ud-daullah, built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.
Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (242 Kms – 4½ Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Jaipur by surface, enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri – the deserted city of Emperor Akbar, which is still in a state of perfection.
Upon arrival at Jaipur, check-in at the hotel
Afternoon, Jaipur city tour by visiting City Palace, Museum, Hawa Mahal and drive past the pink Rose Residential and business areas of Jaipur. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: Jaipur

Morning tour includes visit to Amber Fort - the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Ascend on the elephant's up back the hill on which the fort is situated. Explore the colorful bazaars of Jaipur where one can shop for Jewelry, Paintings, block prints, textiles, carpets, brassware, blue pottery etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: Jaipur – Kolkata (By Air)

Breakfast at hotel and late check out from hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Kolkata.
Upon arrival at Kolkata airport, transfer to the hotel and check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: Kolkata – Bagdogra (By Air) – Darjeeling (70 Kms – 2½ Hrs)

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Bagdogra. On arrival at Bagdogra, transfer to Darjeeling by surface.
Upon arrival at Darjeeling, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09: Darjeeling

Darjeeling (2123 m) is popularly known as the Queen of the Hills. It is the jewel in the crown of Eastern Himalayas and a perfect destination for nature lovers and trekkers.
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to view Sunrise Over Kanchenjunga and the great Eastern Himalayan mountains. Even Mt. Everest, the world's highest peak, is visible from here. Tiger Hill is situated at an altitude of 2590 meters. (8482 ft.). Return via Ghoom Monastery. It is one of the oldest Buddhist Monastery where manuscripts written on birch bark are preserved. Enjoy Toy Train Ride between Ghoom & Darjeeling (subject to operation) which has been awarded world heritage status by UNESCO.
Return to hotel and enjoy the breakfast. Time to relax.
Afternoon, city tour by visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center where you can see Tibetan Craftsman making traditional items like carpets, woolen boots, carvings and leather goods. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Darjeeling – Gangtok (100 Kms – 4 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and leave for Gangtok by surface. Arrive at Gangtok and check-in at the hotel.
Afternoon, visit the famous Rumtek Monastery of great significance. The head of Kagyupa sect of Buddhism from Tibet was giv1n refuge in Sikkim. He was granted land to build the monastery and finally raised Rumtek in 1960s. It is replica of the Taruphu monastery in Tibet, the residence of His Holiness and also the headquarters of the Dharma Chakra Religious Center.

Day 11: Gangtok

After breakfast, visit to Tsomgo Lake located at the height of 12,000 ft. that legend says is the lake of Gods. Feast your eyes on the most beautiful flowers like RHODODENDRONS.
Afternoon, visit Du-drul Chorten, the Research Institute of Tibetology, the most prestigious one of its kinds in India. Visit the Orchid Sanctuary where it is possible to see almost 500 varieties of Orchids.
Evening, visit Cottage Industries and explore Bazars for souvenirs.

Day 12: Gangtok – Kalimpong (75 Kms – 3 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Kalimpong by surface. Arrive at Kalimpong and check-in at the hotel. Time for relaxation. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13: Kalimpong

After breakfast, sightseeing by visiting - Dr. Graham's Homes School and the Tong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery. Also, visit Seri Culture - Institute on Silk Production.
Afternoon, take an Orchid Tour to neighbouring areas by Jeep and partially by trek.
Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14 Kalimpong – Bagdogra (80 KMs – 3 Hrs) – Kolkata (By Air)

After an early breakfast at hotel, checkout from hotel and leave for Bagdogra Airport for flight to Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in at the hotel.
Afternoon, half day city tour visiting Victoria Memorial built of White Marble. It was opened by Prince of Wales in 1924 and has a statue of Queen Victoria along with other innumerous exhibits. Visit Indian Museum and drive past Dalhousie Square, St. Paul's Cathedral, National Library, Shaheed Minar and city centre. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 15: Kolkata – Delhi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi airport, transfer to the hotel. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
