Climate
Sri Lanka has a tropical climate and enjoys sunny weather and warm temperatures almost all through the year. Most parts of the country experience eight hours of sunshine. However, it experiences two monsoon seasons – the south west monsoon and the north east monsoon. Therefore, the weather in Sri Lanka does not run like clockwork — you could wake up to clear blue skies in the rainy season and are equally likely to encounter a thunderstorm in the dry season.
