DO DHAM YATRA with VALLEY OF FLOWERS

A trek laden with Himalayan glaciers, wooden bridges and dense forests leads you to the foothills of the Himalayan Mountain Ranges. Nestled among the serene heights of the great Himalayas are Two major pilgrim-destinations namely Kedarnath and Badrinath, collectively known as Do Dham. Both of these two sites are devoted to a specific deity. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is the northernmost Jyotirlinga and is close to the source of the holy River Mandakini. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is situated on the bank of the River Alaknanda.
Ghangaria, is the last inhabitant village, one encounters on the Valley of Flowers Trek

Day 01: Delhi

Arrive at Delhi Airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Delhi – Rishikesh (235 Kms / 5½ Hrs drive)

After breakfast, depart for Rishikesh by road. Upon arrival at Rishikesh, check-in at the hotel. In evening, visit the Ghat's to encounter evening Ghat life as well as special Arti "The Prayer dedicated to Goddess Ganges". When global orange sun suspended, waits low amid the red/yellow streaked horizon, then all these combine to give this town a very special evening. The temple bells roar, priests enchant mantras. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Rishikesh – Rudraprayag (140 Kms / 05 Hrs drive) – Guptkashi (50 Kms / 02 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Guptkashi. The entire drive is along the Ganga River till Devprayag and afterwords along the roaring Alaknanda. Enroute at Devprayag, Rudra prayag. Lunch Break at Rudraprayag. After that enter the Mandakini valley and drive along the roaring Mandakini river. Arrive Gupta Kashi and transfer to hotel. In evening, visit the Gupta Kashi Temple, the kasha (invisible) for Gods. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Guptakashi – Gaurikund (03 Hrs drive) – Kedarnath Trek (06 Hrs Trek)

After early breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kedarnath. Arrive Gaurikund and commence trek / pony to Kedarnath. The entire trek is gradual ascent till we reach Kedarnath. Arrive Kedarnath and transfer to hotel. After wash and change, visit the temple for Darshan. One can also take the Helicopter ride upto Kedarnath from Sitapur/ GuptaKashi. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Kedarnath – Gaurikund (06 Hrs Trek) – Guptkashi (03 Hrs drive) – Rudraprayag (50 Kms / 02 Hrs drive)

After morning puja, trek down to Gaurikund. After lunch break and refreshing bath at Gaurikund hot springs, drive to Rudra Prayag. If time permits, visit to Trijuginarayan, the famous remote temple, venue of Lord Shiva – Parvati marriage. Arrive Rudraprayag and check in at the hotel. One can also take the Helicopter ride from Kedarnath to Sitapur/ GuptaKashi. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: Rudraprayag – Joshimath (125 Kms / 04 Hrs drive) – Badrinath (50 Kms / 02 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to Joshimath and then Badrinath. The entire drive up to Joshimath is along the Alaknanda river. Stop at Joshimath for some time to visit the famous Narshingh Temple. Later, drive to Badrinath. Arrive Badrinath and check in at the hotel. Evening visit the Badrinath temple for Darshan. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: Badrinath – Govindghat (30 Kms / 01 Hr drive) – Ghangaria Trek (05 Hrs)

Early morning Puja and darshan of Badrinath Ji. Enjoy the sunrise on Neelkanth peak above the Badrinath temple. After breakfast drive to Govind Ghat. Arrive at Govindghat and commence trek to Ghangaria. Arrive Ghagaria and transfer to the camp / hotel. Overnight stay at the camp / hotel.

Day 08: Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers – Ghangaria (06 Hrs Trek)

After breakfast, start trek to Valley of Flowers. The first part of the trek is through thick forest along the Pushpavati river. Later, trek in the open meadow. Arrive and explore the area. After encountering rare Flowers e.g Brahmkamal, Blue poppy, Potentilla, and hundreds of others we trace our steps back to the base camp, Ghangaria. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp / hotel.

Day 09: Ghangaria – Hemkund Lake – Ghangaria (07 Hrs Trek)

After early breakfast, trek to Hemkund – one of the finest high latitude lakes in the area, and pilgrimage for Sikhs and Hindus as well. The entire trek today is uphill till we reach Hemkund. Explore the area and trace your steps back to the base camp. One can encounter some of the flowers on this stretch as well. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 10: Ghangaria – Govindghat (05 Hrs Trek) – Rudraprayag (130 Kms / 04 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and trek down to Govindghat. Lunch enroute. Arrive at Govindghat and drive to Rudraprayag. Arrive at Rudraprayag and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Rudraprayag – Devprayag (70 Kms / 02 Hrs drive) – Rishikesh (75 Kms / 2½ Hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the Prayag (confluence of Rudraprayag). Later, drive to Devprayag. Visit the ancient temple of Devprayag at the beginning of the holy Ganges. Arrive at Rishikesh and check in to the hotel. Time to relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12: Rishikesh – Delhi (225 Kms / 05 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Delhi by road. Arrive at Delhi and transfer to the airport for either flight back to home or onwards destination.
